    Founded in 1911 with only men teams as Armstrong College Boat Club, the Newcastle University Boat Club (NUBC) make it one of the great schools for rowing in England. The women’s team was added in the 1920s.

    Based in Remenham and founded in 1818, Leander Club is the oldest non-academic rowing club in the world. It is one of the most successful clubs in the world with its athletes winning 127 Olympic and Paralympic rowing medals (40 of which are for Great Britain) and 226 are winners of World Championship medals.

    Rowing Lake
    Located in Oxfordshire, the lake and its boathouse are designed to be used as training, scientific and medical facilities for the Great Britain Rowing Squad as well as for the preparation of the Oxford University team for the Boat Race. Named after two Olympic rowers, the lake is also accessible to athletes from Oxford Brookes University and University College, Oxford.
