Rowing, The Sport
The sport of rowing is highly competitive and there are people from all over the world that compete against each other each year to the best of the best in this sport. While it may seem like a simple and perhaps even silly sport, you simple row in a boat back and forth, there is a high demand to be a part of this sport, especially in schools and collages all around the world. This sport is competed in by both men and woman, while it is a physically challenging sport both men and woman excel at it, and it is even seen as an Olympic sport. There are many great athletes in the sport of rowing, we are going to focus on a few of the best male athletes in the sport of rowing, the ones that you will want to keep an eye on inevents and championships.
Guillaume and Thibaud Turlan
These twins come from France and they are coming in strong. Together they made the junior national team in 2014 and have been taking the sport by storm ever since. Experts expect to see a lot from these twins in the 2018 season and they won’t disappoint. They came into the sport because of their parents who thought it was a charming sport and therefore encourage the boys to pursue it as well. They practice everyday with over 20 kilometers of rowing in the morning and then hitting the gym in the afternoon as well. These guys work hard for their medals and have more than earned them.
Robert comes from Australia and has shown he has what it takes to make it in this sport. He is known for setting records when it comes to being the fastest in the under 23’s department. He helps pull his team through each and every time. He says he loves the sport because it suits his personality and his love of waking up early and watching the sunrise. His goal is to make it to the Olympics and of course come home with a medal. Keep your eye on this competitor this year as he is coming in hot.
This rising star is coming to us from Greece He is a force to be revoked with, he has already won numerous championships and achieved many of this goals at the young age of 19. He was a footballer but was looking for a new team sport that he could challenge himself with and came across rowing, and good thing he did as he is great at it. He is most defiantly one to look out for this year and all upcoming events. The sport of rowing is fast pace and intense and is enjoyed by people all over the world!
